Wax Removal

What is earwax and why does it cause a problem?

Earwax is a natural layer of protection, lubrication and defence against foreign bodies. Earwax production is normal and not usually a problem, however sometimes an accumulation of earwax over a longer period of time can form a plug and block the hearing. The best way to solve this issue is by clearing the wax professionally.

We can clear your ears in clinic with microsuction, a safe and effective way of removing any blockages by our fully qualified Audiologist Hayley Billington.

Unlike syringing, Microsuction does not require weeks and weeks of drops in your ears, is free of water and therefore is an effective method of wax removal even for ears that have had infections or surgery in the past. The clinician is constantly able to view the ear canal and ear drum throughout the procedure

Microsuction is generally regarded by medical professionals as the most effective and preferred earwax removal technique. If you have any queries or would like
